Mr. Day was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of RadioShack in July of 2006. Immediately prior to joining RadioShack, Mr. Day was a private investor. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kmart Corporation, a mass merchandise retailer from January 2003 to October 2004 after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer from March 2002 to January 2003. Following the merger of Kmart and Sears, Roebuck and Co., a broadline retailer, Mr. Day served as a Director of Sears Holdings Corporation, the parent company of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and Kmart Corporation, until April 2006. Mr. Day earned his bachelor's degree from Oxford University and his master's degree in Business Administration from the London Business School.
Lee D. Applbaum
Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Applbaum joined RadioShack in his current position in September 2008. Immediately prior, he was the Chief Marketing Officer for The Schottenstein Stores Corporation. He has also worked at American Cyanamid Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Schlotzsky's Inc., Footstar, Inc. and The David's Bridal Group. Mr. Applbaum earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from The University of Texas and his master's degree in business administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts.
Bryan E. Bevin
Executive Vice President, Store Operations
Mr. Bevin joined RadioShack in his current position in January 2008. Immediately prior, he was at Blockbuster Inc. as Senior Vice President of North American Stores. He has extensive operations management experience, serving in senior leadership positions at AT&T Wireless/Cingular Wireless, Interactive Telecom Solutions, Blockbuster International and Texas Homecare.
James F. Gooch
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Gooch, a certified public accountant, joined RadioShack in his current position in August of 2006. He spent 10 years with Kmart Holding Corporation and subsequently Sears Holdings Corporation after the merger with Sears, Roebuck and Co. He served in various positions including vice president, controller, treasurer, and vice president of corporate financial planning and analysis. Mr. Gooch has also worked at Helene Curtis and The Quaker Oats Company. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University and his master's degree in management from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University.
