Operating from convenient neighborhood and mall locations, RadioShack has approximately 4,470 company-operated stores; almost 1,300 dealer outlets; over 450 wireless phone kiosks throughout the U.S.; and, approximately 200 company-operated stores in Mexico. The average size of a RadioShack store is approximately 2,500 square feet. A majority of our stores are located in strip shopping centers in suburban markets that exceed 500,000 people.
In addition, RadioShack has a robust e-commerce site - www.RadioShack.com. Consumers can shop online and access extensive information that can help in making technology and product decisions. Our e-commerce store offers special online only pricing in our various platforms, including wireless phones and accessories. In addition, specialty products are offered online, such as home theater systems, home security services, wireless weather stations and talking heart rate monitors.
Currently, approximately 33 percent of RadioShack's annual sales are generated by our wireless business, which includes postpaid and prepaid wireless handsets, commissions and communication devices, such as scanners and GPS. Our accessories platform generated nearly 24 percent of annual sales. This platform includes home entertainment, wireless, music and computer accessories, media storage, power adapters, digital imaging products and headphones.
Approximately 28 percent of RadioShack's annual sales are generated by the personal electronics and modern home platforms. The personal electronics platform comprises of digital cameras, digital music players, toys, satellite radios, camcorders, general radios and wellness products. Our modern home platform includes residential telephones, home audio and video end products, direct-to-home satellite systems and computers.
The remaining 15 percent of RadioShack's sales are generated by our power, technical and service platforms that include general and special purpose batteries and battery chargers.
